Five Lugia PT Cruisers were made to promote the tour
The Pokémon Gold and Silver Adventure Tour was a promotional tour held in the United States between September 1 and October 6, 2000. For this tour, five custom PT Cruisers were created featuring the likeness of Lugia. Each Lugia PT Cruiser was fitted with a television set and a Nintendo 64 for attendees to try games with.
The tour reached a total of 32 cities in the United States. Throughout the tour, a "Where will Lugia Land Next?" contest was held on Pokémon.com. This contest allowed users to vote for cities to be selected as stops on the tour in each of the five tour regions.
