Release information

This card was included in the Scarlet & Violet expansion with artwork by Shin Nagasawa, first released in the Japanese Scarlet ex expansion. It was reprinted as a Cosmos Holofoil SVP Black Star Promo with different artwork by Mina Nakai and was available in the Paldea Evolved Three Pack Blisters from June 9, 2023. In Japan, this print was one of seven SV-P Promotional cards available in Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 1, which was distributed at Pokémon Card Gym venues starting January 20, 2023.[1] The Japanese version of this print is Non Holofoil and features the Pokémon Card Gym logo.

Initial copies of the SVP Black Star Promo print used Smooth Cosmos Holofoil paper. Copies available in subsequent production runs of the Paldea Evolved Three Pack Blisters, released in mid-2024, used the Pixel Cosmos Holofoil paper that was reintroduced in the first year of the Scarlet & Violet Series.
