Elesa's Zebstrika (Japanese: カミツレのゼブライカ Kamitsure's Zebraika) is one of Elesa's main Pokémon in the games, anime, and manga.

In the anime

Main series

Zebstrika debuted in Enter Elesa, Electrifying Gym Leader!, where it was summoned to battle Bianca's Shelmet at the Nimbasa Gym. Zebstrika immediately proved itself to be an extremely powerful Pokémon, being able to sweep Bianca's entire team – Shelmet, Minccino, and Pignite – with little effort and in quick succession.

In Dazzling the Nimbasa Gym!, Zebstrika was used against Ash's Palpitoad during his Nimbasa Gym battle. Due to its opponent's types, most of its moves did little to no damage; however, Elesa insisted on using Flame Charge to boost Zebstrika's speed, allowing it to dodge oncoming attacks easily. After being confused by Palpitoad's Supersonic, a combination of Mud Shot and Hydro Pump finally knocked Zebstrika out.

Personality and characteristics

Despite Elesa's Tynamo being seemingly her main attraction, Zebstrika is undoubtedly her most powerful Pokémon, being capable of sweeping Bianca's entire team without effort, as seen in Enter Elesa, Electrifying Gym Leader!. Even when faced with type disadvantage, Zebstrika proves to be quite difficult to face, with its usage of Flame Charge boosting its speed and making it very difficult to hit in the process.

Pokémon Adventures

Zebstrika debuted in To Make a Musical as a drawing when Black was reading a book while deciding on strategies to defeat Elesa in their upcoming Nimbasa Gym battle. It was later was seen in person along with Elesa's other Pokémon while it was seen being dressed up in preparation of the Pokémon Musical. In Battle on a Roller Coaster, Zebstrika was summoned to battle against Black's Tula while riding a roller coaster as part of Elesa's Gym challenge. As Black was moving on the cart with Tula, the latter fired Electro Ball. However, Zebstrika resisted the attack and its speed was increased, due to its Motor Drive Ability. Then, Zebstrika used Flame Charge, which defeated Tula. Black then sent out his Nite, who went to attack Zebstrika. However, Zebstrika used Volt Switch, hitting Nite, and was switched with Emolga, who used the same combo, creating a loop. To counter this loop, Nite used Bulldoze when Zebstrika was sent out, resulting in its defeat. As revealed in the same chapter, Zebstrika has been with Elesa since her childhood, during its days as a Blitzle.

In Drawing Bridges, Zebstrika, along with Emolga, accompanied Elesa as she tried to clear the traffic jam at the Driftveil Drawbridge. Zebstrika was later seen in Homecoming, where it participated in the battle against the Seven Sages at the Pokémon League.
