Miniremo units (Japanese: モバリモ Mobarimo) are small, compact devices employed by Team Dim Sun (and, later, Team Debonairs) to control Pokémon in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. They are a more modern version of the heavy and unwieldy Gigaremo units. They resemble small laptop computers.

The Miniremo unit was invented by Isaac in a short span of time, unlike the original model, which was constructed by Altru's most intelligent scientists after years of research.

If a Ranger captures the Pokémon being controlled by a Miniremo, the Miniremo explodes and the Pokémon are automatically released.

Blake Hall is seen terminating the production of both Gigaremo and Miniremo units in preparation for the launch of the Incredible Machine, which is a Gigaremo built in the form of a gigantic tower.

A crucial component of the Miniremo unit is the Dark Shard, a shard of the Shadow Crystal. After the events of Shadows of Almia, all Dark Shards, even those within Miniremo units, became Luminous thanks to the Tears of Princes, rendering the Miniremo units useless. However, the Miniremo units at the Oil Field Hideout could not be reached by the light from the now Luminous Crystal, and so those few Miniremo units were still usable, until the player caused them to explode during some of the special missions from Ranger Net.

Team Dim Sun has used Miniremo units on Pokémon like Rampardos and Riolu. They created the Miniremo unit because the Gigaremo units were extremely heavy, so they came up with smaller, portable versions of them. The Miniremo seems to have the same amount of power as the Gigaremo, except that the user is able to select which Pokémon to control and, as said by a Team Dim Sun Grunt, it has lots of controls to let the controlled Pokémon do specific things.

Trivia

  • Despite the Vatonage Styler's ability to allow befriending of hypnotized Pokémon, Pokémon controlled by Miniremo units are still released, no matter what Styler is used to capture them. This seems to extend only to Gigaremo-controlled Pokémon.
    • However, it is noted that the player automatically releases any Pokémon directly controlled by Team Dim Sun, such as the Sinis Trio's Magmortar, Rhyperior and Gallade, while using other Incredible Machine controlled Pokémon normally. So, it can be implied that the player also releases Miniremo controlled Pokémon immediately after their capture, like they do with the others.
  • The Miniremo unit looks like a laptop, and is as heavy as one.
  • The Miniremo, according to some Dim Sun grunts and admin, has over 100 commands for controlled Pokémon.
