Release information
This tag was available in a gift set given away as part of the Double Chain Start Campaign at participating locations with a Pokémon Mezastar arcade machine from July 9, 2022.[1] The gift set also included a Double Chain Beginner's Book and a Trial Memory tag. The campaign ran for as long as stocks lasted. The gift set was given away again at ÆON and Ario Malls hosting the Coro Tour 2022, which was held on July 24, 31, August 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2022. Visitors at these events could also obtain a free Pokémon Mezastar Special Shopper bag; children and their guardians could try Get Now! mode and distribute one tag for free and have the chance to participate in a photo session with Mezastar Navigators present.[2]
Trivia
Origin
This Pikachu in a cap is based on Ash's Pikachu as it appears in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. An image of Ash will appear when Pikachu attacks in-game. Thunderbolt is a move that Pikachu can learn in the games and 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt is a Z-Move a Pikachu in a cap can use by equipping the appropriate Z-Crystal; both have been used by Ash's Pikachu.
