Synopsis

A Nuzleaf rolls off of its tree onto a Vileplume. The Vileplume walks away from the tree, taking Nuzleaf with it. Nuzleaf wakes up, away from its home, and has no idea where it is. Meanwhile, [Ash]], Dawn and Brock come to a Pokémon Center. Nurse Joy has found the Nuzleaf, which refuses to let her come close to it. Brock persuades the Nuzleaf to not be afraid, so it lets Brock treat it. Then, Ash, Dawn and Brock go to get Nuzleaf back to its tree. Then, Brock, Nuzleaf, and Brock's Bonsly get kidnapped by Team Rocket. But Brock makes a feast for Team Rocket out of scraps of food. Bonsly breaks free of the cage it and Nuzleaf were in, and evolves into Sudowoodo! Finally, they all get back to Nuzleaf's tree, and Ash and friends set back on their journey.

Trivia

Errors

  • The next-episode preview that aired with the episode used footage from DP016. The preview on TV Tokyo's website used footage from DP015.
  • In the original Bonsly used Take Down on the cage, and Sudowoodo used Take Down on Carnivine. In the dub, the move was misinterpreted as Double-Edge. This error remains true for future episodes when Brock's Sudowoodo is seen.

Dub edits

  • When this episode aired in Japan, along with A Staravia Is Born in 2006, there was no opening, and a cold opening intro. It went straight to the episode after the previous episode finished. In the English version, a cold open intro, possibly made up by Pokémon USA, shows Team Rocket starving, and Brock tied in a tree offers them a grub.

In other languages

  • Brazilian Portuguese: Deixe Tudo com o Brock!
  • Italian: Ci pensa Brock! & Il coraggio di Bonsly
  • Latin American Spanish: ¡Brock lo puede todo!
