EX Unseen Forces (TCG)

EX Unseen Forces (Japanese: 金の空、銀の海 Golden Sky, Silvery Sea) was the 10th EX expansion set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is notable for being the largest EX set so far released.

Set Size

Unseen Forces contained 106 cards in the Japanese release, alongside three different Half Decks, containing another 33 different cards. There were 145 cards in the English Language release, the 6 extra cards being Ho-Oh, Lugia, Darkness Energy, Metal Energy, Rocket's Persian ex as the boxtopper and Celebi ex as a secret card. All these Pokémon were Promo cards in Japan.

English Language PreReleases were held on the weekends of the 13th/14th, 20th/21st and 27th/28th of August, 2005. An unusual third weekend was added as the second weekend clashed with Worlds 2006.

Miscellaneous

• EX Unseen Forces was the first set to contain Unown since Neo Destiny. The Unown were part of a sub-set in the English Expansion, which each one being numbered as (The Unown's Character)/28. A Holographic Unown card replaced the parallel foil in every fifth pack.
• The names of the English Language Theme Decks were references to the Japanese name of the set.
• The second "o" in Ho-Oh is capitalised in this set, unlike in previous sets where it was written in lowercase.
• The PreRelease promo for this set was Bayleef.
