While travelling, Ash's Grovyle unexpectedly gets caught up in a battle with a Tropius and gets injured in the process. While he's in the Pokémon Center, he sees Nurse Joy's Meganium and falls for her. Then he encounters the Tropius he was fighting with earlier and while he's fighting, he remembers Meganium and evolves there.
