Azumarill (Japanese: マリルリ Marilli; German: Azumarill; French: Azumarill) is a Water-type Pokémon.
Pokédex entries
- Pokémon Crystal
- The bubble-like pattern on its stomach helps it camouflage itself when it's in the water.
- Pokémon Emerald
- It lives in water virtually all day long. Its body color and pattern act as camouflage that makes it tough for enemies to spot in water.
Name origin
Azumarill's name may be a combination of azure, a shade of blue, marine, of the water, and rill, a small
river or brook. Marill could also be a contraction of marine blue.
It may be based on a combination of a rabbit and a beach ball.

Azumarill first appeared in EP153. A female one was used in a circus. Ash's Totodile had a crush on her. Of course, the Azumarill already had a boyfriend of sorts; a Golduck.
Jackson used an Azumarill against Ash in the Silver Confrence in EP268.
There is an Azumarill that also live in Millenium Town.
