"Handsome" (Japanese: ハンサム Handsome) is the codename for a character introduced in Pokémon Platinum. He was first announced in an issue of CoroCoro.

He is an international police officer on assignment investigating Team Galactic and its plans. "Handsome" seems to be a protagonist, often meeting up with the player; prime examples being Jubilife City and Stark Mountain. Even though in one issue CoroCoro questions what his true motives may be, by the end of the game, Handsome does arrest Pluto, thus proving his motives are not evil.

Role in Platinum

In Pokémon Platinum, Handsome is one of the main characters. He first meets the player at Jubilife City, and he is later met numerous times whenever Team Galactic is about. Handsome's motives are made clear, his mission is to stop Team Galactic from causing havoc in Sinnoh. After Cyrus retreats to the Ruined World and Pluto takes over the team, Handsome shifts his investigation towards Pluto.

After the player defeats the Elite Four, Handsome is not seen again until the player goes to Stark Mountain. It is here that Handsome finally arrests Pluto, ending, what he hopes, Team Galactic's reign of terror on the Sinnoh region.

Handsome can be found in the Game Corner after the Stark Mountain saga.

Disguises

Handsome is shown to be quite good at disguising himself. His prime disguise is that of a Team Galactic grunt.

Pokémon Platinum Team

Handsome does not battle with or against the player at all during the entirety of the game. However, it is known that he has a Croagunk.
