Diploma

The Diploma is an item received by completing a regional Pokédex. The event Pokémon (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Arceus, Darkrai, Shaymin and Manaphy) are not required to qualify for the Diploma. It is typically given by a Game Freak employee in the game. In Generation IV, only seeing all the Sinnoh Pokémon will earn the Diploma.
A separate diploma will be given for as well completing the National Dex in Generation III and beyond. Again, the event Pokémon (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus) are not required.
