Vaporeon (Japanese: シャワーズ Showers, German: Aquana, French: Aquali) is a Water-type Pokémon.

Pokédex entries

Pokémon Emerald
Vaporeon underwent a spontaneous mutation and grew fins and gills that allow them to live underwater. They have the ability to freely control water.
Pokémon FireRed
Its body's cellular structure is similar to the molecular composition of water. It can melt invisibly in water.
Pokémon LeafGreen
Lives close to water. Its long tail is ridged with a fin which is often mistaken for a mermaid's.

Name origin

Vaporeon's name is derived from vapor. Its Japanese name probably refers to rain showers. The -eon suffix, common to all Eevee evolutions comes from Eevee's prototype English name.

It has traits of foxes, dogs, cats, and fishes.
