Saffron City (Japanese: ヤマブキシティ Yamabuki City) lies between Celadon City, Vermillion City, Lavender Town, and Cerulean City. The Gym Leader, Sabrina, uses Psychic-type Pokemon, and awards the Marsh Badge. There is also a secondary gym, the Fighting Dojo, which has fighting type Pokemon, and is where you get Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee in Generation I.
Saffron's motto is "Shining, Golden Land of Commerce".
Saffron City is the headquarters of Silph Co., which is the creator of the Master Ball, Porygon, Porygon2, and the Upgrade.
