Dongle Method?!

Where did this name come from?--PikamasterADV 02:14, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I've heard of it referred to as such, since it uses the GBA games as a dongle. --TTEchidna 03:46, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it's just called Dual-Slot Mode. Kevinchai 17:25, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
It is Kevin, the offical stragy guide by nintnedo calls it.

Before or after Elite Four

Like the title says. Is this only available after the elite four, or anytime in the game? I think that would be useful information to add, as that's what I came to this page looking for.

You can try to experiment with it. It's possible you only need to unlock the national dex. - 振霖T 08:22, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Encounter rate?

Does anyone have information regarding the encounter rate of dongle pokémon? LostDrewid 07:53, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Most often it's 8%. See the pages on the places where the specific Pokémon are found to see. TTEchidna 08:28, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Gens I & II?

What happens when you insert Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver or Crystal in with a a IV Gen game?

You cant. The ds doesnt support GB, GBC games, they wont fit in the slot.--Davidaipom 10:57, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
The DS can HOLD the cardtridge, but its processor completely outrides the G1 and G2 era games. If you actually want to input a GB or GBC cardtridge and play it on the DS, the DS would look a little something like the Wii...not exactly 'portable'. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links11:30 26 Aug 2008

JP Platinum and US GBA compatibility

As far as I have tested, they are compatible. I was testing my Chimchar's hidden power type on Route 203 and ran into a Lotad while Sapphire was in the GBA slot. Figure I'd just throw that out there. Goldraine 02:03, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Any language of Gen IV is compatible with any language of Gen III as far as DSM goes. When you try to migrate, however, it goes sour, as that's language locked. TTEchidna 08:15, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
