A mat is a type of item exclusive to Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald used to decorate the player's Secret Base. They seem to be the Generation III equivalents of carpets.
Small Mats
These eleven mats have special effects when the player steps on them:
C Low Note Mat - plays C note - $500- D Note Mat - plays D note - $500
- E Note Mat - plays E note - $500
- F Note Mat - plays F note - $500
- G Note Mat - plays G note - $500
- A Note Mat - plays A note - $500
- B Note Mat - plays B note - $500
- C High Note Mat - plays C note - $500
Glitter Mat - glitters - $2000
Jump Mat - makes you jump in place - $2000
Spin Mat - makes you spin in place - $2000
The note mats are available at the Slateport City marketplace, and the other three are available at the Lilycove Dept. Store.
Large Mats
These seven mats each have a design based off a move and can hold up to five dolls or cushions:
Surf Mat - $4000
Thunder Mat - $4000
Fire Blast Mat - $4000
Powder Snow Mat - $4000
Attract Mat - $4000
Fissure Mat - $4000
Spikes Mat - $4000
