Brave the Wave (Japanese: ムロジム!波乗りジムリーダー・トウキ登場! Muro Gym! Enter Touki the Surfing Gym Leader!) is the 20th episode of the Advanced Generation series, and the 294th episode of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in Japan on April 10, 2003 and in the United States on February 7, 2004.
Synopsis
Ash and company are currently on Dewford Island. Ash is pretty eager to get his second Gym Badge in the Hoenn League. When he gets to the gym, he finds Brawly as more of a surfer dude than a Pokemon trainer, saying that he teaches surfing to his Pokemon. Still, Brawly eventually ends up accepting the challenge. What will happen next?

Trivia
- This is the last dub episode until AG146 to feature Ken Gates as the narrator.
- This is one of the few times where Ash lashes out at one of his friends after a loss. When Brock tries to give him advice about what he should have done, he yells "Shut up!" at him before storming out of the room. Though, he just may have been upset because Treecko and Taillow got hurt so badly.
Errors
- Brawly said that Hariyama managed to defeat Ash's Taillow and Treecko, although Hariyama only defeated Ash's Treecko. Brawly's Machop is the one who defeated Ash's Taillow.
