BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!
There's been rumblings of too much non-pedia discussion around here, so, in best interest of that, if you want to tell me something personal, or just plain off-topic, send me a PM OR visit the new Bulbapedia Discussion Forum, instead of commenting here.

BTW...tired of waiting for a new Pokémon game just to tackle some new gyms? Then bring it on.

I'm watching you...

Templates

Why are so many protected from autoconfirmed users? It's not like we get that many "Impossible Sharked Bulbasaurs" anymore, so why the barrier? --Bulbapedian - Talk 02:20, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

if a vandal attacks a template, thats X pages now affected. but moreover, if youre referring to the templates i just protected, well, they dont need to be touched, so, why SHOULDNT they be protected? -- MAGNEDETH 02:21, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
No, no. Don't need to edit those ones. I meant templates in general. It seems as if many are. Just thought a little freedom and mobility could be benefited from. --Bulbapedian - Talk 02:24, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
well, most templates just dont need to be touched. and as i said, vandal targets. -- MAGNEDETH 02:25, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Speaking of editing templates, could you take a look at User:Sol/Sandbox and tell me if having the "Physical" color changed is good? ~ sol 02:53, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
i didnt think that was necessary, so i didnt implement it. but, ill ask the big man. -- MAGNEDETH 02:54, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Are {{g|}} and {{ga|}} both used as shortcuts for the game template? I think I may have seen them both work in the past, but I just want to be sure. --Bulbapedian - Talk 01:56, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

hmm, im not sure. youre best bet might be to ask Mav. hes been really tackling the templates these days. -- MAGNEDETH 01:59, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Serebii.net Special characters

Why shouldn't we externally link to Serebii.net for Special characters? The only entries listed were in Japanese, so I thought that since the vast majority of our readers are only fluent in English, they should be able to read a more complete bio on each character. Hypo Prower 01:23, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

because we are Bulbapedia, not Serebii. now, im going to go remove those Japanese links that someone put there that arent supposed to be there. -- MAGNEDETH 01:24, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
That doesn't make any sense. Every external link listed should be a different website. I mean, would we not put TRsRockin.com on the TRsRockin.com article just because it's a different fan site? I just don't see what's wrong with having a link to a more complete bio than what's even on Bulbapedia itself. Hypo Prower 20:57, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
the point is to expand OUR articles, not tell people to go to another site. the TRs thing, thats only glitches. -- MAGNEDETH 20:58, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
OK, I kinda see your point, but why don't we just expand our glitch articles to have the same info as TRsRockin? Hypo Prower 22:37, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
because thatd be copying. plagiarism. granted, for i know were partners with them or something. or for all i know, were not and shouldnt have their links on your site! i should look into that. -- MAGNEDETH 22:38, 1 February 2009
It isn't stealing if we rewrite it in our own words. — THE TROM — 22:41, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
ssssshhhhhh... -- MAGNEDETH 22:41, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
OK, well, whatever, I really don't see any point in arguing...on a side note, your "hated Pokemon" subpage is hilarious. Loved it. Hypo Prower 22:58, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
im going to look into this. and thanks. -- MAGNEDETH 22:59, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

User talk:Sketch/Archive 2

You protected that archive, but RexRacer didn't get permission to archive it in the first place. Can you please un-protect it and move it back? 0° 00:38, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Nope.--☆Coolピカチュウ! 00:39, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Sketch never said he wanted it archived, so it shouldn't have been archived. 0° 00:40, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey!

Do you think you can create a template: Template:Movelist/body/special/2? I somewhat need it to add the special moves of Gen II Pokemon... ht14 03:06, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

sounds more like a job for TTE. -- MAGNEDETH 03:06, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Noted. ht14 03:08, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Do you at least know what to do as they're talking about on TTE's page? It's about some spacing. I'm confused... ht14 03:55, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
got me. -- MAGNEDETH 03:56, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Are you good at wiki coding though? ht14 03:58, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
in some ways yes. -- MAGNEDETH 03:58, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Whatever that meant...here: fix one of these two: Template:Movelist/body/special/2 or Template:mlentry2special. More likely the first one, not sure though. Thanks! ht14 04:00, 2 February 2009
whats wrong with them? -- MAGNEDETH 04:01, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Not sure, but when I inputed this:

<content removed>

Not too sure... ht14 04:03, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Next time don't start opening and closing noincludes everywhere, guys. TTEchidna 04:22, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
i didnt do it! -- MAGNEDETH 04:23, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Administrator Status

In order to keep our Administrator list currently up-to-date, this is a generic "are you there" message.

You've been assumed as currently active and are already marked as such, but if you disagree with this, either edit the List of administrators to reflect your status (Active, Hiatus, Inactive, or EVIL BASTARD), or reply here when you get the chance. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 16:11, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

EVIL BASTARD! -- MAGNEDETH 22:21, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Too big. Won't fit in the table. But no worries, the status is implied strongly. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:45, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
well, i hope anyone whos been here as long as me already knows it anyway. -- MAGNEDETH 01:41, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Multiple Edits

The reason I am making multiple edits is because I couldn't find the edit mode. On the wiki I am used to, it is on the left side-bar, but on this wiki it is not there. So I was going through and editing things one section at a time. Though, I think I see it now, on the top of the page, so that shouldn't happen again.

Also, I deleted the new user-info off of my talk page, but not anything that Rex said to me. At least, I did not mean to delete anything that rex said to me. - unsigned comment from Jacobe (talkcontribs)

well, not all wikis are the same and im inclined to think youre not even entirely familiar how a wiki works. you removed the welcome template, which is against the rules, but, you should probably actually look through the template and read on our policies and general rules of editing. also, you dont have to go to someone elses page to comment, it breaks up the conversation. -- MAGNEDETH 00:58, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Multiple Edits

Sorry about the multiple editing. I was trying to get my userspace to look good. I'll less edit next time. - unsigned comment from Stevenyeffcoat (talkcontribs)

a good looking userspace is not a necessity. also, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). -- MAGNEDETH 03:06, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Sorry

I'll Use The Forums Next Time. Jimmy A. FiveSixTwo 06:09, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Picture

I noticed your picture for one of your anime episodes isn't showing. You should ask Mamoswine Gliscor (User) about it. He helped me out with mine. Pyles 22:37, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
