However, he often uses his Electabuzz and his Scizor, so they're very well trained to compete in Leagues and Tournaments. In training, they share almost the same challenges proposed to develop strenght, agility, battle area knowledge and accuracy. The experience is got throught fights against the main trainers over the continents.

Althought he never went to Hoenn or Sinnoh, Sanjuro knows a lot about Kanto and Johto. His favorites places and cities are:
Much of his experience was got in those big cities, places where he spent many time and knew tought trainers. In there, he also learned to love fire-type Pokémon when first fought a Charmander. Actually, his biggest dream is to become a Elite Four trainer based on fire Pokémon.
Research
In the endless journeys, he found time enough to do some researches, focused on the Legends and on the Unown, mysterious Pokémon that always called Sanjuro's atention. These researches and notes were never publicated or given to anyone, and not even had management of any Professor. They were only for personal use, and he keeps them with him until nowadays.
