Ash and Brock immediately apologize and introduced themselves. Then, Brock and Marshtomp hold Mariah and Flaaffy's hands and showed attraction. Then, a guy named McCauley and his Ampharos came and showed his energy medicine to Cadee but McCauley didn't mix the Cheri Berry well, and Cadee said that she can't sell it. McCauley was very disappointed hearing that from Grandma Cadee. Then, Team Rocket plans to steal the medicines in the drugstore.

When all the ingridients were mixed Cadee put it into a bottle and used her Mareep's electricity purify the medicine.
Back at the drugstore, Jessie and James disguised themselves as an old man and a lady, while Wobbuffet and Meowth are inside a Snorlax costume. Then, Team Rocket stole and put all the medicine in the Snorlax costume, but McCauley saw that there was a Meowth and Wobbuffet inside and it's not a real Snorlax. Team Rocket ran away with the medicines, but Ash saw them and command Grovyle to use Bullet Seed to stop them. Team Rocket don't give the medicine to McCauley, so Brock told Marshtomp to use Mud Shot, and Team Rocket fell to a boat and was carried to a waterfall.

Trivia
- Pokémon Symphonic Medley plays when Mariah and McCauley create medicine for Pikachu and Mareep, who had been injured by Mud Shot.
- The dub title is a spoof of the old saying "A Chip Off the Old Block."
- Marshtomp and Flaaffy are both in the Monster Egg Group, meaning that they can indeed breed.
Errors
- Max incorrectly calls Mud Shot an Earth-type attack. However, this error was corrected for all subsequent airings.
- In one of the scenes shortly after Flaaffy was healed, Ash's gloves were skin-toned, making it appear as if he only had green wristbands on.
