All About Me
I actually first got obsessed with Pokémon on the animé. (Yes, I know, shame on me.) Mainly because I didn't have a GameBoy at the time. I have a really good memory though, and my mum bought me a sticker book later on and I got to work. I managed to memorize the original 151 in order. I'm both sad, and quite glad that I'm no longer enough of a dork to be able to remember THAT.
My next endeavor was in a toy Pokédex I got for my birthday. It got a fair few bumps and scraped on it - I even managed to misplace it at my cousins who lived 40 miles away once for a whole year - but somehow it always managed to wind its way back to me. It got misplaced permanently at some point after I managed to move on to getting a GameBoy, about two years after I 'misplaced' the hinge door trying to make it more like the Johto Pokédex. ^^;
Eventually, my dad managed to get me a silver GameBoy Pocket (this was like a year or two before the release of the GameBoy Advance!) and I went out and bought the version to match that weekend. I must have played spent years of my life in game time on Pokémon Silver... My GameBoy status moved up the ranks too soon enough, and I got a GBA.
Anyway, I soon moved on to Pokémon Ruby, which was ok I thought - the main attraction were the GBA graphics and the fact that the cartridge didn't stick out of my GBA and barely fit in my pocket... And then, one Christmas, I got LeafGreen and the SP simultaneously. Yet another game I must have spent years of my life on.
Well, I got an American-import Pokémon Diamond and it was the first time I realised there was more strategy to Pokémon than, hit it as fast and hard as you can until it faints. That I can owe to Serebii.net, Pokemon.Marriland.com, and of course, our wonderful Bulbagarden. :)
Then Platinum was released, and I used it as an excuse to raise some other Pokémon I liked, namely Growlithe/Arcanine and Seedot and its evolutions.
Oh, and one more thing. I actually fell off my chair with joy and squeed when I first heard about GSDS (HeartGold and SoulSilver) being confirmed, even though I was 100% sure it was going to happen anyway. And I've only gotten more excited since. ^_^
All I can say is, SoulSilver can not be released fast enough! ^_^
My Pokémon
I like raising Water Pokémon because there's a lot of choice and a lot of Water Pokémon are really cool, and I also have a lot of Normal-type Pokémon and moves I like. (I really like Hyper Beam even though in the game it's a bit rubbish.) My first Pokémon ever was a Chikorita which I obtained in my Pokémon Silver. :)
My favourite Pokémon and my inseparable Pokémon partner is my Snorlax, Totoro. Props to Toto! :D
Laziness
I have EV trained most of my Pokémon... with 50 vitamins. The only EV trained Pokémon I've ever properly trained is my Snorlax, Totoro. Everything else relies on vitamins - or in some cases, nothing at all, random EVs from completing the game with them as a starter or Pokémon League-spamming. Most of the Pokémon I own are nature-bred... sort of. I'll like take whatever I can get that's not particularly detrimental, most of my Pokémon have neutral natures. :P
Team Rocket Classic
Team Rocket is brilliant! Imo, the teams have gotten worse and worse over the years. Team Rocket are like the stereotypical bad guy team with powerful Pokémon and seeking world domination. I also really liked the design for the TR Grunt in FireRed and LeafGreen. When my friends and I played Pokémon when I was like 10, I was always a reformed member of Team Rocket.
Jessie and James should just be shot. They were kind of cool and powerful to begin with, until they got defeated by Ash's Caterpie in the next episode... Still, it's because Ash's Caterpie so SO FREAKING AWESOME it not only defeated them, it destroyed their ability to win at anything, including life, from then on. :)
Oh, And One More Thing...
Lucadan is a portmanteau of Lucas and Brendan. I know, it's terrible. I wanted to get on to start editing quickly...
