Me

I began my Pokémon journey in Pokémon Silver - I didn't have a GameBoy during Generation I. I have since owned Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon LeafGreen, Pokémon Diamond, and Pokémon Platinum. I will be getting an American import of Pokémon SoulSilver when it comes out in the US. (Yay!) My first ever Pokémon was a Chikorita, and one of my favourite Pokémon is Snorlax.

I started my Pokémon games with:

I have since become sick to death with Mudkip (due in part to the meme), and Treecko runs unopposed as my favourite Generation III Pokémon. Plus, in my second save file which I used until I got Diamond, I chose a Squirtle for ease of completing the game - I know, I sold out, I'm a terrible Charmander fanboi. I was still not enough of a sell out to start with Bulbasaur - I like him, and Ivysaur but Venusaur looks stupid.

Laziness

I have EV trained most of my Pokémon... with 50 vitamins. Everything apart from my above-mentioned Totoro relies on vitamins - or in some cases, nothing at all, random EVs from completing the game with them as a starter or Pokémon League-spamming. Most of the Pokémon I own are nature-bred... sort of. I'll like take whatever I can get that's not particularly detrimental, most of my Pokémon have neutral natures. I'm not particularly competitive anyway. :P

Team Rocket

Team Rocket is brilliant! Imo, the teams have gotten worse and worse over the years. Team Rocket are like the stereotypical Mafia-style bad guy team with powerful Pokémon and seeking world domination. I also really liked the design for the TR Grunt in FireRed and LeafGreen. When my friends and I played Pokémon when I was like 10, I was always a reformed member of Team Rocket.

Jessie and James should just be cut from the show altogether. They were kind of cool and powerful to begin with, until they got defeated by Ash's Caterpie in the next episode... Still, it's because Ash's Caterpie so SO FREAKING AWESOME it not only defeated them, it destroyed their ability to win at anything, including life, from then on. :)

Plus, the whole "ARGH, (insertnamehere), stop hurting me when I call you out!" got old really quickly. Like, I'm talking, second time we saw Victreebel quickly.

(As a fan of hardcore Doctor Who fan, I know about the Trousers of Time theory, so yeah, this is technically untrue, but Pokémon canon isn't complicated enough for it to matter.)

• This user's username came from a rushed portmanteau of Lucas and Brendan.
• This user used to dislike Lucas because it was his opinion that the stupid tank top he wore made him look like a matchstick after seeing all the protagonists before him wearing jackets which look cool, and he wore a hat that looked really stupid on the D/P overworld sprites after being used to caps that actually doesn't make his head look absolutely massive.
  • However, his opinion has changed since Platinum because he started wearing clothes that made him look more like a classic protagonist.
• This user's first episode of Pokémon was Friend and Foe Alike!
• This user's favourite move is Hyper Beam, but never uses it in the game as it is useless.
• This user collected Pokémon cards - but has never used them in a game. (The same can be said of everyone the user has ever met.)

• 90% of this user's childhood revolved around Pokémon (and the rest was spent on Digimon). Because of this, he can remember trivia such as:
  • This user's first and only slap-on tattoo as a child was a Pokémon one, a Venusaur. Due to gentleness when washing around it, it lasted two weeks before the ink began to go minging and he had to remove it.
    • Incidentally, Venusaur is this user's least favourite Kanto starter final form.
  • This user's first chewing gum was also Pokémon-related. It was strawberry-flavoured, and contained in a tub with a holographic Weezing on the front.
  • This user was once conned into trading his Mewtwo card for a Dratini card at the only convention he ever went to (at a Woolworths). He didn't mind too much though, because he got a 'Pokémon:The First Movie' video later that year with an even rarer Mewtwo card in it.
