The Game Boy Advance Wireless Adaptor is an item that connects to the top of any Game Boy Advance or Game Boy Advance SP, in order to allow wireless communications with another GBA with this item attached to it. It was designed to replace the cumbersome link cables that, especially for Pokémon games, were so important.

The Wireless Adaptor is available in the box with both Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, and is compatible with those two games and Pokémon Emerald when trading or battling. However, if a trade or battle is to be made with Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire, players must still use the old link cables.

The Wireless Adaptor did not have a long life as a component, as soon after it, the Nintendo DS would replace both it and the game link cables with its own wireless communication. However, the DS's wireless capabilities are not compatible with those of the Wireless Adaptor or with GBA games that could use it.

Though technically unable to use it, the GBA Wireless Adaptor could be attached to the top of the e-Reader in the same way that a Nintendo Gamecube Game Boy Advance Cable could be.
