Edit wars

I'm sorry, but edit wars do absolutely nothing to help Bulbapedia. It's especially bad if these edit wars are over the very continuity of the franchise itself. Basically, you're using Leaf's absence from HeartGold and SoulSilver combined with the fact that she and Red never interacted in FireRed and LeafGreen to say that Leaf doesn't exist.

By that reasoning, you're also basically saying Kris never existed since there is no interaction between Gold and Kris in Crystal much in the same vein of Red/Leaf (this is assuming that Kris and this alleged "Kotone" are indeed separate characters; I actually still believe they're the same character, since Kris is technically a version-based name like Gold is, and the fact that there's a separate "Kotone" in the anime from Marina could lend more to an Ash/Ritchie-to-Red connection as opposed to diehard proof of Kris and "Kotone" being separate characters).

Point is, we can't outright assume that anyone's existence has been retconned out of continuity over non-references and non-interactions. If we were to make those assumptions and then both Red and Leaf show up as surprise mystery challengers in a Generation V game thus once and for all proving Leaf is still in the continuity, then Bulbapedia would lose some of its hard-earned credibility due to retconning assumptions turning out incorrect.

In closing: Don't go edit warring over continuity. It's highly counterproductive and will get you nowhere. --Shiningpikablu252 19:59, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Let's discuss this in the article's discussion page. Thanks. - Crystal Master
