Flavor text Generation IV Raises Attack upon taking a critical hit. Generation V Maxes Attack after taking a critical hit. Generation VI Maxes the Attack stat after the Pokémon takes a critical hit. Generation VII The Pokémon is angered when it takes a critical hit, and that maxes its Attack stat. Generation VIII The Pokémon is angered when it takes a critical hit, and that maxes its Attack stat. Generation IX The Pokémon is angered when it takes a critical hit, and that maxes its Attack stat.

Anger Point (Japanese: いかりのつぼ Anger Point) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

In battle

Generation IV

When a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a critical hit, Anger Point maximizes its Attack stat by raising it to +6 stages (regardless of its current stage).

Anger Point will activate even if the Pokémon's substitute is hit.

Generation V onward

Anger Point no longer activates if the Pokémon's substitute is hit.

Outside of battle

Anger Point has no effect outside of battle.
