Release information
This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret Rainbow Rare in the Chilling Reign expansion, first released in the Japanese Peerless Fighters subset. The Regular print features artwork by Ken Sugimori, while the Full Art and Rainbow Rare prints feature artwork by kirisAki. During the Scarlet & Violet Series, the Regular card was reprinted for the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame Deck Build Box.

Origin
Avery is the rival character in The Isle of Armor in Pokémon Shield. He goes on to become a Gym Leader. The interior of the Armor Station is featured in the Regular print's illustration.
