Decorations in a Secret Base

This is a list of decorations in the Generation III games Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. They can be used to decorate the player's Secret Base or bedroom using the PC. Almost all of these would reappear in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire; see List of Decorations in Generation VI for information pertaining to those games.

Secret Bases can be more or less freely decorated with any decoration, but the bedroom can only be decorated with dolls and cushions. Up to 16 decorations can be placed in either the bedroom or the Secret Base.

The placement of dolls and cushions, as well as posters, is somewhat restricted. In the bedroom, dolls and cushions can only be placed on top of the large carpet. In a Secret Base, dolls and cushions must be placed on top of a mat, desk, or certain ornaments. In a Secret Base, posters can only be placed on visible walls that face the screen.

Most decorations can be bought with Pokémon Dollars at the fifth floor of the Lilycove Department Store, or at the desk and chair shop in Fortree City. If the Trader is present in the Mauville City Pokémon Center, a decoration can be transferred to another player by trading it to the Trader in the source game, mixing records, and then trading with the Trader for it in the destination game.

Types of decorations

The PC can only hold a certain number of each type of decoration. Although multiple copies of the same decoration can be obtained, they do not stack.

There are 120 decoration goods in total. Index number 0 is used to represent no decoration.

The names of decorations are rendered in all-caps in-game like item names, with the exception of the C Low Note Mat and C High Note Mat, which are displayed as "C Low NOTE MAT" and "C High NOTE MAT", respectively. Their names are formatted in mixed case in the Nintendo Power and Prima Games guidebooks.
