Release information
Black & White Series
This card was included in the Emerging Powers expansion with artwork by 5ban Graphics, first released in the Japanese Black Collection. It was reprinted in the Japanese Battle Theme Deck: Victini, the Master Deck Build Box EX, and the Mewtwo Half Deck in the Mewtwo vs Genesect Deck Kit. It was later released in the English Legendary Treasures expansion.
XY Series
Crushing Hammer was reprinted during the XY Series in the Kalos Starter Set with new artwork by 5ban Graphics, first released in the Japanese XY Beginning Set. This print was later included in the Japanese Yveltal Half Deck, in the English Generations expansion, and in the Japanese BREAK Starter Pack.
Sun & Moon Series
During the Sun & Moon Series, Crushing Hammer was reprinted again with new artwork by Yoshinobu Saito. It was included in the Sun & Moon expansion, first released simultaneously in the Japanese Collection Sun and Sun & Moon Starter Set on December 9, 2016. In Japan, it was later released as part of the Team Rocket Half Deck in the Ash vs Team Rocket Deck Kit and again in the Ultra Moon expansion as both a Regular and Full Art Secret card. The Secret print was later released in the English Ultra Prism expansion and features artwork by Yoshinobu Saito. In Japan, the Sun & Moon print was later included in three of the GX Starter Decks, in the Tag Team GX Deck Build Box, and in the Sun & Moon Family Pokémon Card Game set.
Sword & Shield Series
Crushing Hammer was reprinted again during the Sword & Shield Series as part of the Sword & Shield expansion, first released in the Japanese V Starter Set Fire and Water. This print has new artwork by sadaji. In Japan, it was reprinted again in two of the nine V Starter Decks, in the Blastoise VMAX Starter Set, in the Sword & Shield Family Pokémon Card Game set, and in the Start Deck 100 (available in both Non Holofoil and Mirror Holofoil versions). Outside Asia, it was reprinted in the special Crown Zenith expansion.
Scarlet & Violet Series
During the Scarlet & Violet Series, this card was released in the Japanese ex Starter Set Quaxly & Mimikyu ex with new artwork by Ayaka Yoshida. This print features the updated Trainer card layout introduced with the Scarlet & Violet expansion. It was reprinted as an SV-P Promotional card and was one of nine possible cards included in special packs sent to Event Organizers in January 2023 for distribution in official events hosted by them. This print features the Event Organizer logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration. It was reprinted again in the Japanese ex Start Decks and the Pokémon Card Game Battle Academy Deck Kit.
