Release information
This card was included in the EX FireRed & LeafGreen expansion with artwork by Yukiko Baba, first released in the Japanese Flight of Legends expansion. In Japan, it was released in the Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise Random Constructed Starter Decks on March 19, 2004.
Trivia
The card's name actually reads "Drowsee". The card is to be played as if its name reads "Drowzee" as it should be. Had the card been ruled "play as printed", one would be able to play four of these cards as well as four correctly-spelled Drowzee cards (currently only in the Unlimited format), the set's Hypno card would only be able to evolve from this card, and all other Hypno cards would be unable to evolve from this card.
Origin
Hypnosis is a move in the Pokémon games that Drowzee can learn. A Zubat is featured in the illustration.
