Release information

In Japan, this card was first available as an Unnumbered Promotional card and was given to participants of the inaugural Tropical Mega Battle, held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii between August 24 and 27, 1999. It was reprinted as another Unnumbered Promotional card in Volume 3 of Pokémon Card Trainers magazine, released on October 1, 1999. The Pokémon Card Trainers print is on glossy card stock, whereas the Tropical Mega Battle print is on regular card stock. Both prints have a graphic featuring a pair of faces in place of an expansion symbol and text on the bottom of the card border that reads: "Pokémon Card Official Magazine "Trainers Vol.3" bonus card", despite the Tropical Mega Battle print being distributed at the tournament.

It was reprinted in the Evolutions expansion featuring the same artwork and an updated card template reminiscent of the Original Series layout. This print originated from the Japanese Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary subset.

Trivia

  • This is one of two cards to have Japanese text with English translations below it, giving the card its more commonly known name, Bilingual Exeggutor. The only other card to feature this is a Lucky Stadium card, released as a participation prize for the Tropical Mega Battle tournament in August 2000.
  • It is estimated that less than 50 copies of the Tropical Mega Battle version were printed based on the number of participants at the tournament.

Origin

Stomp is a move in the Pokémon games that Exeggutor can learn.
