Trivia
Atsushi Nagashima, the game director of the TCG, stated that this card was designed around being "strong in an unusual way." The idea was to pair Origin Forme Giratina with another Dragon-type Pokémon capable of flight, such as Rayquaza, Dragonite, or Salamence. Garchomp was chosen due to its use of Fighting Energy like Marshadow & Machamp-GX.[1] Mitsuhiro Arita, the illustrator of the card's Regular print, drew Garchomp flying to surprise people who weren't aware of how it flies. To reflect how each Pokémon comes from a different world, the artwork is ambiguous as to whether it depicts the Pokémon world or the Distortion World.[2]
Origin
This card features Giratina in its Origin Forme. Linear Attack is an attack that first appeared on Team Magma's Groudon from EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua. GG End is the name of the Japanese subset in which Garchomp & Giratina-GX was first released.
