Release information
This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret Rainbow Rare in the Astral Radiance expansion, first released in the Japanese Battle Region subset, each with artwork by Hitoshi Ariga.

Trivia
This card's effect is similar to Professor Rowan from the Diamond & Pearl expansion, whose effect has the player choose 1 card from their hand, shuffle the other cards back into their deck (instead of discarding them), and draw 4 cards. This similarity may be intentional, as Kamado is Professor Rowan's ancestor.
Origin
Kamado is the boss of the Galaxy Team. His office in the Galaxy Hall is seen on the regular print’s illustration.
