Release information
In Japan, two different prints of this card have been made available. The print numbered 203/XY-P was released as part of the Pikachu Mega Campaign, held at all participating Pokémon Centers across Japan starting December 12, 2015. Customers who purchased ¥1,000 worth of eligible TCG products during the campaign were given this card. The print numbered 275/XY-P was 1 of 2 cards available to players who accumulated 3 Play Points by participating in events held as part of the Pokémon Center Mega Battle, which took place at participating Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores on various dates between July 23, and August 31, 2016. Both prints feature artwork by Kouki Saitou and the Pokémon Center logo to the bottom right of the illustration.

Origin
The illustration on both prints follow the trend established with Pikachu merchandise available for the Pokémon Center Tokyo relocation promotion in December 2014, which featured a Pikachu wearing a Mega Charizard Y poncho. The print numbered 203/XY-P features Pikachu wearing ponchos resembling Mega Audino, Mega Lucario, and Mega Slowbro. The print numbered 275/XY-P features Pikachu wearing ponchos resembling Mega Lopunny, Mega Diancie, and Mega Gardevoir. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Y.
