This card was first included in the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion, originating in the HeartGold Collection, with artwork by Ken Sugimori. It was soon released in the Steelix Constructed Standard Deck and Tyranitar Constructed Standard Deck. It was then reprinted in the Call of Legends expansion.

Trivia

This card has the same effect as Cynthia, a card later released in the Ultra Prism expansion.

Professor Oak is the resident Pokémon Professor of the Kanto region. Professor Oak's Laboratory as it appears in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver is depicted in the illustration.
