The Laquium was first mentioned by Gibeon in From So Far Away within his chamber while musing about his desire to reach Laqua, obtain the Laquium, and claiming that Lucius's adventure wasn't over yet.
In HZ054, it was revealed that at some point, Exceed discovered the Laquium somewhere and took it to the company building to research it, naming it "Eternal Blessing". However, nothing came of it, until eventually they gave up on it, storing it deep within the labs.
After Friede confirmed the appearance of a pink mist every time a vision of Lucius is created by Terapagos, he decided to return to Exceed, where he once worked for as a scientist, seeking for more information about Terapagos and Laqua and specially their connection to a mysterious material he knew about before leaving the company. After going into the lower labs and fighting off some Pokémon that were guarding it, Friede found out that the Laquium had been stolen, with the culprit being secretly revealed to be Spinel.
As noted by Friede, the Laquium appears to be surrounded by a pink mist similar to the one seem during the visions created by Terapagos.
In HZ057, Raifort claimed that Laqua possesses a pink shine, which confirmed to Friede that the Laquium is indeed connected to Laqua somehow.
In HZ064, Spinel interrupted Liko and Amethio's battle and as an experiment, Spinel used the mist generated by the Eternal Blessing on his Umbreon, causing it to go feral, power up, and defeat Amethio's Terastallized Ceruledge in a single hit. Angered by it, Terapagos transformed into its Terastal Form and destroyed the Laquium with its power, forcing Umbreon back into its normal state and exhausting it. After trapping Liko and Amethio inside a cave and meeting with Chalce again, Spinel came to the conclusion that Terapagos and the Laquium are polar opposites.
In HZ065, after reuniting with Roy, Dot, and Friede, Liko explains to them what Spinel did to his Umbreon using the Laquium and how Terapagos destroyed it.
