Release information

In Japan, this card was available as an insert with the August 2001 issue of CoroCoro Comic, released on July 15, 2001. The English version of this card was released at BattleZone events in January 2003. There were two versions, one includes a gold "Winner" stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork and the other did not. A Jumbo version of the card was also released with the winner logo.

Trivia

This card was the first of only two VS-style cards to see release outside Japan, the other being Rocket's Scizor.
