Release information

This card was included in the Battle Styles expansion with artwork by Hideki Ishikawa. In Japan, it was one of eight S-P Promotional cards available in Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 4, which was distributed at Pokémon Card Gym venues held in late September, October, and November 2020. The Japanese print features the Pokémon Card Gym logo. It was reprinted as a Full Art card in the Silver Tempest expansion with artwork by nagimiso, first released in the Japanese VMAX Climax subset.

Origin

Sordward and his brother Shielbert are characters in Pokémon Sword and Shield who claim to be descendants of the first kings of Galar. The altar at Slumbering Weald is featured in the Battle Styles print's illustration.
