Takenori Ohta (Japanese: 太田健程) is a programmer who joined Game Freak in 1992.[1] Ohta's programming career began with Pulseman in 1994, after which he began working primarily on core series Pokémon games. He was instrumental in the development of Pokémon Red and Green and Pokémon Gold and Silver as the games' main programmer.[2]
