Release information

This card was included as a Regular card, a Secret Rainbow Rare, and a Special Full Art card in the Evolving Skies expansion, first released in the Japanese Eevee Heroes subset. The Regular and Rainbow Rare prints feature artwork by AKIRA EGAWA, while the Special Full Art print features artwork by KEIICHIRO ITO. The Regular print was reprinted, alongside a new Full Art Secret card with artwork by kawayoo featuring Karen, in the Japanese VMAX Climax subset. The Regular print was reprinted again in the Japanese Start Deck 100 as a Non Holofoil card. The VMAX Climax Full Art Secret print was later included in the Brilliant Stars expansion.

Max Darkness is a Max Move in the Pokémon games that Umbreon can use while Dynamaxed. Karen is featured in the Brilliant Stars print's illustration, who uses an Umbreon in all core series games in which she appears as an opponent.
