Release information

EX Series

This card was included in the EX FireRed & LeafGreen expansion with artwork by K. Utsunomiya, first released in the Japanese Flight of Legends expansion.

Platinum Series

VS Seeker was reprinted in the Supreme Victors expansion with new artwork by Wataru Kawahara, first released in the Japanese Beat of the Frontier expansion.

XY Series

During the XY Series, VS Seeker was released as an Item card with an updated effect and new artwork by 5ban Graphics in the Phantom Forces expansion, first released in the Japanese Hyper Metal Chain Deck. The Japanese Emerald Break expansion included a Secret print of VS Seeker, which was later printed outside Japan in the Roaring Skies expansion. In Japan, the Phantom Forces print was reprinted in the M Master Deck Build Box Power Style, the M Master Deck Build Box Speed Style, and the Golduck BREAK + Palkia-EX Combo Deck; a Mirror Holofoil version of this print was later included in the Japanese Premium Champion Pack.

Sun & Moon Series

At the start of the Japanese Sun & Moon Era, the Phantom Forces print was reprinted again in the Premium Trainer Box. Despite the layout for Trainer cards being changed for the new Era, this print retains the old card layout. This layout was retained for the reprints in the Japanese The Best of XY subset, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Premium Trainer Box, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Deck Build Boxes, and the Extra Regulation Box.

Sword & Shield Series

Similar to the Sun & Moon Series, another Phantom Forces reprint was released in Japan to promote the Extra Regulation format. Starting December 16, 2022, participating Pokémon Card Gym venues distributed Extra Battle Day Promo Card Packs to people competing in Extra Battle Day tournaments. One pack was given to each participant that won a game, while three packs were given to the overall winner of a tournament. One pack was also given to winners of rock paper scissors competitions.[1] Each pack contained one of ten S-P Promotional cards, which included this print. This print also features the Extra Battle Day logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration.

Scarlet & Violet Series

This card was reprinted in Holofoil with its Phantom Forces artwork in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic. This reprint lacks a regulation mark and is thus not legal for tournament play.

This card's Hyper Metal Chain deck print was reprinted as one of the Japanese SV-P Promotional cards for Extra Battle Day on January 1st, 2024, and its stamp is shown on the card.
