Upon the release of HeartGold & SoulSilver Collection in Japan, Feraligatr was made available as one of the L-P Promotional cards to anyone who participated in and won the season's Gym Challenge.

Trivia

The promotional version of this card was printed with a graphic hiding the Surf attack.
