In the anime
Igglybuff was first seen as one of the Pokémon in the Pichu Brothers' Possé in Pikachu and Pichu. Igglybuff twins appeared in EP243. These Igglybuff were owned by a girl named Britney and were practicing for a concert. Jigglypuff was jealous towards the Igglybuff twins as they were stealing its audience.

Pokédex entries
- Pokémon Gold / Pokémon LeafGreen
- It has a very soft body. If it starts to roll, it will bounce all over and be impossible to stop.
- Pokémon Silver / Pokémon FireRed
- Its extremely flexible and elastic body makes it bounce continuously--anytime, anywhere.
- Pokémon Crystal
- Instead of walking with its short legs, it moves around by bouncing on its soft, tender body.
- Pokémon Ruby
- Igglybuff's vocal chords are not sufficiently developed. It would hurt its throat if it were to sing too much. This Pokémon gargles with freshwater from a clean stream.
- Pokémon Sapphire
- Igglybuff has a soft and plushy body that feels very much like a marshmallow. From this body wafts a gently sweet fragrance that soothes and calms the emotions of its foes.
- Pokémon Emerald
- Its soft and pliable body is very bouncy. When it sings continuously with all its might, its body steadily turns a deepening pink color.
Game locations
In side games
- Pokémon Stadium 2: Igglybuff appears in a quiz-show styled mini-game alongside Cleffa. A series of Pokémon parade across the screen and you have to count how many of the Pokémon species you're instructed to count parade across the screen. Your score is based how close you are to the right number.

Name origin
Igglybuff's name rhymes with Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff. Its Japanese name is a variation on Purin, which happens to be the Japanese word for pudding. The French corruption means All soft soft.
