Own Tempo (Japanese: マイペース My Pace) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Seventeen Pokémon can have this ability.
Effect
In battle
Own Tempo prevents confusion, if a confused Pokémon gains this ability it will be cured of its confusion.
Outside of battle
Own Tempo has no effect outside of battle.

Trivia
- A Doredia with this ability can use Petal Dance and not become confused. This also happens to a Spinda with Thrash.
- Therefore, in Generation V, Spinda and Doredia can use these moves up to 30 turns in a row if they do not faint.
- Also, no Pokémon that learns Outrage is immune to its confusion.
