You guys sure "Cannon" isn't a better translation...Malake256 06:01, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

I believe it means "canon" as in the musical term - if i may quote dictionary.com: "consistent, note-for-note imitation of one melodic line by another, in which the second line starts after the first." --ZestyCactus 06:26, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Definitely. Just look at the Pokémon which learn it by level up—all of them are musically-oriented. --AndyPKMN 11:53, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Difference between Canon and Echo Voice

I'm confused as to what the difference is between the moves Canon and Echo Voice, if there is any besides base power. Can someone please clarify this?--RiverAura 02:59, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

The biggest difference I can find is the turn order clause--if one Pokémon on your team uses Canon and you have your other Pokémon queued up to use it as well, the slower Pokémon will go after the fastest Pokémon on your side regardless of turn order. This means it should ignore statuses like paralysis and Trick Room, which change speed or turn order, respectively. PhantomJunkie 16:29, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
The power of Canon only doubles once and when it is used again the next turn its power will start at 60 again, whilst echo voice is more like Fury Cutter and will increase by 40 every turn it is used. Pikiwyn talk 17:11, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
