Dotted Hole (Japanese: てんのあな Dotted Hole) is a place only accessible on Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. It is located in Ruin Valley on Fortune Island and is the place where players will get the Sapphire, which, in conjunction with the Ruby, allows Celio's Network Machine to connect to Lanette's PC system in Hoenn, and enables trades with Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, Colosseum, and XD. A Team Rocket scientist, Gideon, will steal it, though, and the player must venture back to Chrono Island to retrieve it from him. In order to open the door, the player must use Cut in front of it. However, Gideon will stand in front of the door until the player helps Lorelei defeat the three Team Rocket Grunts at Icefall Cave.
Braille Translations
Along with the cave within Mt. Ember, this is one of only two locations in the Sevii Islands that has Braille writing, both on the door (from which the area gets its name) and within, which will direct players to the location of the Sapphire.

Trivia
- The message at the bottom floor of the Dotted Hole is possibly a reference to Bill and Celio creating a device that allows trade between FireRed and LeafGreen and Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald by using the Ruby and Sapphire found in the Sevii Islands.
