Andreas's Poliwrath is the only known Pokémon Andreas has. It first appeared in a lake when it popped up next to Misty's Poliwhirl, showing itself to be aggressive by punching Poliwhirl out of the water. It found its owner and then with Andreas got in a speedboat to start the Seaking Catching Day. It used DoubleSlap to catch his first Seaking, but it was quickly released.
Later it uses a Mega Punch to capture the second Seaking. Andreas and Misty draw so they have to have a battle. Andreas sends out Poliwrath and Misty sends out Poliwhirl, but before they can start Team Rocket steal the chocolate. Wiith the help of Poliwhirl they make Team Rocket drop the bag.
The battle resumes and Poliwrath uses Submission hurting it badly. Poliwhirl looks like it is going to stop battling but Misty talks to it making it feel better. Misty has Poliwhirl use Bubble and then follow up with Mega Punch. Poliwrath falls, but Andreas has it use Mega Punch as well. Poliwhirl dodges it and uses Bubble again, followed by a Water Gun that knocks out Poliwrath.
Poliwrath's known moves are DoubleSlap, Mega Punch, Submission and Water Gun.

Andreas caught his second Seaking using Mega Punch from his Poliwrath, but it was quickly released in the end under competition rules. It was the same weight as Misty's, but she won the battle. It weighs 55kg.
