==Shouldn't Marina be amongst the notable Coordinators?==
Marina is heavily featured in media during the DP story arc; she's a role model for Zoey, and is a notable character of the anime in general for being both in Legend of Thunder and being the anime version of Crystal.  However, her achievements are, as far as I known, unknown.  But if Haruka from Chamo-Chamo Pretty is considered notable, than Marina should be as well. Thus, I am adding Marina into the notable chart. If someone has information on her actual achievements as a coordinator, I behoove him or her to add them in.  [[User:Kumori Satosuke|Satosuke]] 15:36, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Solidad's Resumé

Shouldn't Solidad be added as having competed in Hoenn? She defeated Drew in his first contest, and he's from LaRousse, which is in Hoenn. I mean, other coordinators are listed as having competed in other regions.

It's certainly likely but not actually stated. I put the line between that and the fact that we know she is currently in Johto. --FabuVinny 15:38, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Capital or lowercase?

Should it be coordinator, or Coordinator? After all, it's Pokémon Trainer, rather than trainer. TTEchidna 22:52, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Very good question. I was actually wondering about that when I was creating the Joshua (Coordinator) and Anthony (Coordinator) articles. I personally always put it in caps. How did Trainer end up getting capitalized when this didn't? --PAK Man Talk 23:17, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
I think it might be because there's a [PK][MN] Trainer trainer class in the games but no Pokémon Coordinator trainer class. --Shiningpikablu252 23:22, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
That'd be hitting the nail on the head. Formerly, we didn't capitalize trainer classes because they weren't proper nouns and the games just put everything in caps anyway, giving us no model. But DP came out and started capitalizing things like Pokémon Trainer and Pokémon Breeder, so I moved them accordingly. Ones like Pokémon Coordinator sort of fell through the cracks. --Pie ~ 06:29, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
I saw the word "coordinator" in Diamond. At least one NPC from Hearthome City uses it, and it's in lowercase. But Shiningpikablu252's theory makes sense. "Pokémon Coordinator" would be capitalized if it were a character class. It is a kind of character class in other canons. --Johans 19:01, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
After thinking hard, I notice the word "Trainer" isn't capitalized only when you face a character in a Pokémon battle, but also when random text from the game mentions Trainers. So it seems that capitalizing "Coordinator" is just a matter of agreement. My suggestion at this point is try to find some text from Pokémon.com that talks about the coordinators from the anime. --Johans 20:00, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't Marina be amongst the notable Coordinators?

Marina is heavily featured in media during the DP story arc; she's a role model for Zoey, and is a notable character of the anime in general for being both in Legend of Thunder and being the anime version of Crystal. However, her achievements are, as far as I known, unknown. But if Haruka from Chamo-Chamo Pretty is considered notable, than Marina should be as well. Thus, I am adding Marina into the notable chart. If someone has information on her actual achievements as a coordinator, I behoove him or her to add them in. Satosuke 15:36, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

May

Could we also say that May is a coordinator from Sinnoh because she had participated in the Sinnoh Wallace Cup.-Billy4b2004 11:16, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

I don't think so. The ribbon could be used in any region and besides, May wasn't aiming to get into the Sinnoh Grand Festival, but the Johto one. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 12:06, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

May I add that the term Coordinator has been used in DP by a girl in the appartments in Hearthome. She says she wants to be one when she grows up.Laxafett 26 February 2009 (UTC)

"Notable Coordinators"

Shouldn't we perhaps divide the section into characters who are primarily Coordinators (May, Dawn, etc.) and those who have competed in Pokemon Contests but are primarily Trainers, Breeders, etc. (e.g. Ash, Brock)? And as others have said, we need to expand and include some Coordinators who are not main characters. Some of them would fit better than the main characters on the list who may only have entered one or two Pokemon Contests. Goodbye Blue Monday 23:16, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Notable Coordinators

Fantina is Coordinator in the Adventures canon as well, so it should be noted on the "Notable Coordinators"-table. Արիանո 19:06, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
