Uprising
Though I agree that Democracy probably isn't best for BP, I believe that everybody should fight for what they think is right. Is there some way I could PM you (I can't get on to the BP forums and I don't even know if I could do that there). I just want to say something in private. Rpp 02:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Rpp

Goukazaru appears to be using his talk page as a user page. -- MAGNEDETH 02:41, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- So at what point does it become unacceptable? A lot of users are putting tags on their talk pages "until the ban ends," and nobody does anything about it. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 02:48, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- one or two tags, any maybe some notes to the user doesnt bother me, but, if its blatant, as in, taking up more of the page than actual conversation, then i feel it becomes unacceptable. but thats me. -- MAGNEDETH 02:55, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- I sometimes use my talk page as a sandbox (I just don't really know how to make one.) I also sometimes put tags on it for reference or as a joke. But nothing longer than a conversation. Rpp 02:56, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Rpp

At this point, it's sad. User Talk pages now are flooding the recent changes. Boywonder01 03:01, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yep, Hai, Oui, Si (Whatever other languages). Particularly because of me (←Also I know I use that too much...) Rpp 03:09, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Rpp
- We ought to tell everyone with usertags on their pages to just put the code in a text document and keep it on their computer. Even if they can't do that, they should just write down the tags they want and keep that list for when the ban is lifted. This problem may become more serious than it seems; it is, after all, a partial circumvention of the ban. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 04:46, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
It wouldn't be that simple for people because some people can't get it through their heads. It's not rocket science, just put your tags on Word or Processor! Boywonder01 08:06, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Resigning
I don't think I'm ready for editing Bulbapedia in the long run. I have other things to do. Fabu-Vinny, could you delete my account? I'm considering leaving the Users.BlueJirachiWishMaker 19:00, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Template:LinkSprite
The purpose of the template was to provide a sprite of the Pokémon that linked to its page. I had to hotlink because the Archives add those random numbers before each image name. --Shiny Noctowl 14:52, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Stealing bandwidth is still a big no-no. We link to the name of the species near the images anyway so there isn't much need for the template. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 15:11, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's still better to have the image itself link to the page. It's annoying how images link back to the stupid useless page instead of being able to link to an actual page. --Shiny Noctowl 15:13, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Good point, I keep having to hit back when jumping pages either from missing the link and/or clicking the image. Gywall(Talk) 15:17, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- There are some really complicated tricks with CSS and such that allow you to use standard image links but still link to any page you want. It's probably a Wikipedia template somewhere — but I don't recommend stealing the code. Maybe there's an extension... - 振霖T 15:24, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- I had that template once, but it was annoying in that, instead of having the image link to the page, there was text in front of the image that linked to the page. Yeah, it works, but it looks weird if you highlight it. --Shiny Noctowl 15:26, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Sockpuppet
I believe User:Frazer Ketchum is a suckpuppet account for Sailor Earth. Sailor Earth has been in trouble for removing comments from peoples talk pages, and now Frazer Ketchum claiming to have hacked Sailor Earth's account. If you look at the contribution histories and talk pages of both users you will see that Frazer Ketchum has been in trouble for some of the exact same stunts Sailor Earth has been pulling. Trainer-c 15:28, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Frazer Ketchum should be banned for hacking Sailor Earth's account and taking the job of the admins into his own hands (by effectively banning another user). --Shiny Noctowl 15:46, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
You still have to set Sailor Earth to e-mail confirmed again. --Shiny Noctowl 15:55, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Can I do that? It would be more sensible for Sailor Earth to get another e-mail address first anyway. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 16:00, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- But we can't contact him, because he used Frazer Ketchum's e-mail to register, and he also thinks his password was changed. --Shiny Noctowl 16:03, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- "If you look at the contribution histories and talk pages of both users you will see that Frazer Ketchum has been in trouble for some of the exact same stunts Sailor Earth has been pulling." You'll also notice that Frazer was around a good month before Sailor. So Frazer wasn't a sockpuppet. Sailor might have been, but I seriously doubt it.
- You know... didn't Sailor make his own sockpuppets at one point? SP252 had to block two of them. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 08:08, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- But we can't contact him, because he used Frazer Ketchum's e-mail to register, and he also thinks his password was changed. --Shiny Noctowl 16:03, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
They weren't socpuppets, I was banned and and I couldn't contact the admin who blocked me because he didn't want to receive email from users so I created sailor earth 2 and wrote on the talk page it was only to discuss the block and I wasn't going to make a single edit until he said I could, it was for discussion purposes.
However I only made the one, if you look in the block log a Guardian of Earth was also blocked obviously because it was like the name Sailor Earth so SP252 thought it was a sock but it actually wasn't. Guardian of Earth 17:32, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, the "Earth Guardian" name was blocked as a sock due to an obviously similar e-mail to the master "Sailor Earth" and the sock "Sailor Earth2". The e-mail registered for all three names at the time suggested "Earth Guardian" was a sockpuppet about to be used for block evasion. If evidence can be provided that this is not indeed the case, I can rectify this. --Shiningpikablu252 18:27, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

A two Accounts problem
Well, it seems I have two editing accounts by mistake, namely due to the fact I didn't know there was a read only account under my forum name, and I just activated it.
My other account, GoldChaos with a capital C.
This mistake isn't going to jeopardize my presence here, is it?
If it isn't a problem, is it possible to merge accounts somehow? Goldchaos 18:56, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Charizard?
Are you ever going to un-block Ash's Charizard? I found some pictures of it and I wanted to put them up. The one we have now doesnt really show it very well.Mooites 17:43, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
No, no, no, no, no, no, no!
Why are you redirecting all those articles? I only made them because they were used by main characters, otherwise I'd have made articles for the guy's Graveler, Flareon, ect.! I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 13:57, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- They have a ridiculously small role and being briefly used by a main character does not magically grant them an article of their own. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 13:59, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it does! Explain Jessie's Charizard, James's Aggron, Ash's Raticate, and Golduck (anime), then! They were used in battle by main characters, which, in my experience, is enough to warrant their own articles! Hell, James's Hoppip wasn't even used in battle! It was owned for all of two minutes, if that much at all! I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 14:03, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- It's pretty annoying seeing those reverts.... So stop doing that, they have no importance, they only used it briefly which is not worth noting. --Force Fire 14:00, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- It can be noted, it's just that they don't deserve an entire article for it. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 14:03, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- I have an idea. How about one page for all the Pokémon in question? It can be called "Exam Instructor's Pokémon", and can have all the information on all the notable (and non-notable) Pokémon there? I mean if they aren't notable enough to each have its own article, how about one article for all of them? I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 14:06, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- It could just go in Pokémon League entrance exam instructor. That article is still fairly small right now. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 14:11, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Lock down Bulbapedia, PLEASE
This is an urgent SOS mail!
We're getting a huge vandal attack. I was doing fine taking care of it myself, but now it looks like entire articles are being compromised and being turned into unrecoverable self-redirects. Question
Hi, I wanted to run something by you (random admin, lol :)) - it's an idea I had over a year ago and talked to some other people about, like PAKMan and others, but it was dropped and now I'm bringing it up again. The idea was for a Bulbapedia Project about music - covering all articles about songs, CDs and musicians. The main reason I'm not sure about it is because I don't know how much there is to do, anyway... Thoughts? Do you think it's worth doing? --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 12:57, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Definately. It's a potentially big section of the site but one that has had a lot of neglect. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 13:04, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Trade
Do you have a Shaymin, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, or Mew? If you do, I am willing to trade my Shiny Dialga, Staraptor, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, or Noctowl.--Diamaster
- Only Ho-oh and Mew, neither of which I am willing to trade and I can't access the GTS anyway. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 22:05, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
WHY?!?!?!
Why did you have Kuki delete my User avatar in my character info box on my User page? I can understand why the eggs can't stay, but what about my characters page? Me,Tarscor, and Ty Lammy are using them as our avatar. EVERONE has one, why can't I?--☆Tavisource 00:30, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't tell Kuki to do anything. If I had a problem, I would have acted myself as I did with the eggs. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 00:37, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well Kuki has been saying that you told him to take away images on other people's userpages. Also Kuki does not have the power to delete images. Only admins do. If an admin didn't delete it then your avatar still exists. --☆ケンジガール 00:41, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- What? But...Kuki said it was your fault. He also had something deleted on his page too. I didn't tell him to DELETE anything. I just told him to change the egg sprites because most of my egg sprites were deleted. He said that was your fault too. It also seems like someone deleted my avatars off of the archives also. Could I put it back? I need it for my User page.--☆Tavisource 00:43, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
To clarify the situation: Custom sprites are becoming an ongoing issue as of late and I was tackling it by creating a category on the Archives to keep them them together and deleting those that are not being used in the mainspace. It was nothing personal against you and you can still reupload two images for your userpage if you haven't done so already. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 17:52, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

There's an edit war going on between Pikastorm and Kuki over this image. The edit war involves going back and forth between two revisions of the image. As a result, I suspect that one of them may be you-know-who. I've gone ahead and given both of the combatants three-day blocks to quell the war. If one of those involved in the war really is you-know-who, you know what to do with that user; the other should be unblocked. If it can be concluded that you-know-who is innocent in this case, then feel free to lift the blocks on both of them and take it from there. --Shiningpikablu252 19:29, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Bulbanews
I wrote an article last night detailing the winners of the 2008 TCG World Championships. I believe it's important to move that article from a draft to an actual article ASAP, so we don't look behind the times. In addition, the picture isn't showing up on the article. Why is that? I thought you'd probably check here before you checked on Bulbanews, so that's why I bring this up on your BP talk page. Thanks! --ニョロトノ666 16:43, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Trivial Pursuit
just wondering what you meant by "Show, don't tell." when removing the Magnemite trivia regarding its footprint. -- MAGNEDETH 00:52, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- If trivia about sprites are self-evident by looking at them in the article, it is better to let the viewer just see that for themselves. In this case, the footprint is in the infobox now so there is no need to mention it in the trivia. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 13:08, 27 September 2008
- i dont know, i just felt it was sort of on par with the rest of trivia out there. if someone wants to take the time to realize Gliscor is lighter than Gligar, its prevo, then thats fine. but, they could just as easily read it in the trivia section. however, im not looking for a fight here, especially over trivia.. -- MAGNEDETH 18:39, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well, that comparison isn't readily apparent without specifically looking for it. The difference with the footprint is that it is referring to the existence of one sprite that is right there on the article in question so there is now no need to point it out in the trivia. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 20:10, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

As you may have noticed, I have been putting pronounciations in the Pokédex entries. However, I believe it would look much better with it's seperate section in the info box. Hey You Pikachu!
Should I be going to you for problems concerning the Hey You, Pikachu! game page? I'm a newbie, but I'd really like to do something for Bulbapedia, and Hey You, Pikachu! is about the only game I could add something big to. ...But the thing is, there's several problems I can't solve on my own, and I'm at a loss as to how I can fix this. The Manual Of Style doesn't address the issues I have... Could you hear me out, please? Neo Qwerty 15:42, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, if you have a question then just ask. What are the problems? --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:44, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! Firstly, there's three locations shared between Hey You, Pikachu! and Pokémon Channel. Springleaf Field and Cobalt Coast have a normal page, but Viridian Forest is like this: Viridian Forest (Channel). How should I handle it, and what would Hey You, Pikachu!'s shortening be if I need to make another Viridian Forest page?
Secondly, there's no category for Hey You, Pikachu! locations... And I'm not wiki-code-savvy enough to feel I can do it without messing up somewhere.
There's also a lot of items in this game, much more than the few listed on the current Hey You, Pikachu! main page, and I could provide a line or two about each of them and their effects on Pikachu's happiness and electricity gauge. But I don't feel that the "key items" are important and unique enough to be mentionned on their own page alone, with possible exception of the PokéHelper, and I'm not sure if a list of all the Hey You, Pikachu! items would be okay...
Yes, another question. Should I provide lists of all the Pokémon Pikachu can interact with in each location, and a summary of the mission for each visit to the location at a different level?
And, last but not least, Bulbasaur cooks various meals during his missions in Ochre Woods, and, while you can't directly interact with them, they're tallied up at the end of the level like all the other items collected, and the various results give out different PikaPoint amounts.
I'm sorry for going on and on about that, but I really don't want to mess up my first major contributions... Neo QWERTY 01:06, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Redirects
Should we redirect EP numbers to AG and DP? Like redirecting EP275 to AG001?--RexRacer -talk 23:54, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- The primary problem with such a project is that not everyone agrees on one numbering scheme. When referencing overall series numbers, most people run off serebii.net's list, but there's some problems in correlation between there and here:
- For some odd reason, Holiday Hi-Jynx and Snow Way Out are not considered episodes here; serebii.net lists them as episodes, with the numbers 65 and 66, respectively. The remaining pre-Hoenn episode numbers are two higher on serebii than here.
- The system here has what serebii.net lists as episodes 376 and 378 as consecutive episodes; serebii.net lists AG101 (unaired) as episode 377. The first clip show, which some might not consider an episode, is listed by serebii.net as episode 397.
- The Ranger 1 special is especially tricky. Some sources, including both here and on serebii.net (there listed as episode 448), say it's one hour-long episode, while others say it's two half-hour episodes. For all intents and purposes, the Ranger 1 special should be considered one episode.
- The DP series also includes a clip show (listed by serebii.net as episode 516) and a Ranger special. Unlike the first Ranger special, however, most sources list the Ranger 2 special as two half-hour episodes, listed by serebii.net as episodes 539 and 540 for each of the two parts. There's numbering controversy here as well, as a voice actor's leaked script listed as a DP108 (which would fall as episode 576 in the serebii.net listings) is different from the actual DP108; odds are there's a conflict in production codes between here and the original Japanese producers, and that either the clip show isn't supposed to be counted as an episode or that the Ranger 2 special should be considered one hour-long episode like the Ranger 1 special was despite how the dub aired it.
- Feel free to try your project. Just be prepared for quite a few bumps in the road. --Shiningpikablu252 02:27, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- We do already list the EP number in all AG and DP episode articles anyway. Your point still stands but as long as one reflects the other, it probably wouldn't be an issue. -- On a side note, I would really like to know the official production codes now but all we have for that is the American season-episode coding (where AG001 is 613). -- So if you think it would be useful, feel free to go ahead with it. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 03:03, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

anime dex entries
I mean, we do have the list, and I think it is about complete now. But I think the anime entries would fit better with the other relevent Pokédex entries instead of by itself in a secluded area in the anime section; I want to talk about this so that we can do it and it wouldn't be a problem anymore. Any thoughts? MaverickNate 02:15, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- I don't have a problem with changing the layout of the pages, just people removing valid content. If you think they'll look better in the Pokédex section, go for it. (The Ranger/MD entries will be stuck at the bottom of the page, regardless.)

Ash DID own Togepi, albeit briefly. In the episode, Ash won the battle determining Togepi's owner, so Togepi was his. He then GAVE it to Misty after they discovered that Togepi only wanted to go with Misty anyway. So it was his basically in the same sense that Beedrill was his. - unsigned comment from Missingno. A question about the site
I thought that you were the best person to ask as you are an editorial board member. The texts in the site have become tiny to the extent of causing problems to the eye. Also, the links and everything have become jumbled up. Is this problem being experienced by everybody, or is it me alone and has to do with my computer?--Diby 11:35, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

- I have been. I'm trying to help you take out the Wikipedia links. We don't need any of those links because the Dojo provided enough images of them. Pinball Ruby&Sapphire
Hey,I noticed that you played Pinball R&S and I was wondering if, in either of the images we use to represent that game in the 'In side games' section, display the form differences for Unown, Spinda, Castform or Deoxys? (Burmy, Wormadam, Cherrim, Shellos, Gastrodon, Giratina, Rotom, Shaymin, and Arceus weren't released yet.)--MisterE13 03:56, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- Neither Unown nor Deoxys appeared in the game. Castform only appears in its default form, and Spinda only appears in one variation. There's no alternate forms to rip from that game. --Shiningpikablu252 17:38, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

I have been adding the a for a reason. The link has been appearing on the wanted pages, and either adding an "a" or removing the : will get it off. Thank you
For adding Piplup to the character roster (though it was already there, just hidden). You are the only one around here besides me who sees that Piplup is most likely going to be in every episode from now. Please stop Shiningpikablu from changing it again if he attempts. Piplup is clearly not another Wobbuffet. --ケンジのガール 22:35, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but there's absolutely no reason for unhiding Piplup. It's clearly not another Togepi like you're implying. For starters, it has a Poké Ball, unlike the aformentioned Togepi as well as Meowth. And it's never shown outright refusal to go inside it, quite unlike Pikachu. There's absolutely no evidence that points that Piplup should be treated like Pikachu and Meowth, and consensus says that Piplup should be hidden, and yet you're treating Piplup like it should be unhidden for no good reason. I'm disgusted by such behavior...--Shiningpikablu252 03:38, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- Wow you are taking this way too seriously... Disgusted is such a strong word. What more evidence do you need huh. As I've said before and will keep saying, Piplup has gone through 50 straight episodes without an absence. That's not a good enough reason for you? You think that just because it has a Poké Ball that it means that it means it won't be in an episode after it has been confirmed in every episode since DP060. As the episode starts, where is Piplup? Is it in its Poké Ball like Wobbuffet always is? No. It's with the group either on Dawn's head or walking beside here. You act like it's most likely that Piplup won't be in the episode when it's the opposite. As I said before, we should keep it default on the roster UNTIL it is proven that it won't be in the episode. You're being fueled by your own bias that Piplup is going to evolve and that's speculation right there. Hidaka said himself that Piplup will most likely not evolve because it would look strange walking aroung with Dawn. When are you going to wake up and release that Piplup will most likely be in every episode from now on? I feel that there is a personal bias going on with you and other users that you don't like Piplup being part of the main cast so therefore you shun it, despite being in every episode since DP060. Use your common sence already... Piplup will continue to be in every episode from now on.
- And if it's proven wrong and Piplup goes into its Poké Ball again, there is a simple solution to the problem. Start hiding it again... It's not the end of the frickin world if Piplup's on the roster and then it out of the blue doesn't appear in the episode again. It would save us time just to have it unhidden and make things easier. --ケンジのガール 04:00, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Pages such as Magma Cavern have the second half on a separate page, while others don't. How should we handle this? ht14 15:41, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- I believe MD2 treats both halves as the same dungeon in the menu so we should probably go with them on the same page. The "deeper part" really just comes from the presence of a mid-point. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:15, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Pinball Sprites
(Since I can't post this on Archives at the moment)
Noting that the entire category of Pinball sprites was marked as needing transparency, I thought I might take a look myself (at least for Pinball, not RS). Regarding the gifs:
- They all consist of a two frame loop followed by a single 'hit' frame, but the number of times the loop is repeated (between hits) varies between 2, 2½ and 3. Are they intentionally inconsistent or not? Should I update them all to, say, 3 loops.
- The timings also are a bit odd. Some sprites have different timings for the first, last and all the other frames, whereas others have most frames 200ms and occasional 100ms. Again, should these be made consistent?
- They are all 48x32 except for 7 of them (001, 041, 043, 054, 056, 058, 092) which are 46x30. Should these be made larger, and along which borders? Archives is locked so I can't upload any of these yet, but I thought I could get them ready first. As you uploaded all the sprites in the first place, I thought you'd know what direction to take them in, and that I should check here that I'm doing the right thing before I waste too much of my time.
