Notice (read before posting)

I will reply to messages posted here on this page. No sense running around everywhere. And if I seem to be in the wrong on any of my edits, just notify me here and explain the problem. We have to work together if we are to improve Bulbapedia. --TruePikachu 20:36, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, TruePikachu!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

Sorry

Sorry I got you in an edit conflict, but you can't put comments and your signature in an article. The {{Inuse}} template alone will let people know not to edit. Alright? Thanks :D CuboneKing 02:43, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

I'm just saying, I did the {{inuse}} AND the comment so that people would know exactly what I was doing without having to view the history. It was a very common practice at a previous Wiki I worked at. The notice always gets deleted with the inuse. --TruePikachu
Just... Please don't put the comment... CuboneKing 17:30, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Talk pages

Hi there. Please keep speculation off of Bulbapedia talk pages, per our talk page policy. If you would like to discuss such things, we ask that you use the Bulbagarden forums. Thanks. —darklordtrom 21:22, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Azure Flute

Thanks for backing me up in that conversation and all, but the last comment in that topic was from more than half a year ago, and I think the point had been made. Be sure to check the timestamps on comments you're replying to. --AndyPKMN 12:34, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Users' talk pages.

From the talk page policy. "on Bulbapedia talk pages, it is not acceptable to: ... Leave meaningless posts such as "oh, that guy just pwnd you." " doing so is not helpful, and can be taken as an insult by the other user. Please do not do so in future. Thanks. Werdnae (talk) 04:02, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Just saying right now, but I've endured a headache from that guy before, and there have been countless "advertiser users" at a couple of wikis that I worked at before (Wikipedia was one of them). And the forums at other sites, those were just awful. I'm pretty fed up with these sorts of advertisements. Additionally, my message was nothing compared to BulbaBot's. I mean, there was even cussing there... --TruePikachu 01:09, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Before anyone complains to me about userspace edits...

...I'm working on a complete (page + templates) rewrite of List of Pokémon by availability, at User:TruePikachu/LoPbA. Due to how I'm doing template changes (not on the live templates in mainspace), I probably will have to do several page saves to make sure everything is working correctly. Main reason for the rewrite, FYI, is because of how big the page is (I can't even load the source, I had someone on IRC get it for me). I believe there is room for making it smaller. --TruePikachu (talk) 22:48, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

Gah, when will I learn to preview? --TruePikachu (talk) 22:49, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

Revert

Why did you revert my rewriting, most of the Pokémon biologies said pointed teeth. --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:05, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

See the comment I made. The Pokémon in question had "razor-sharp teeth" confirmed, which is a bit more descriptive then just "pointed teeth". --TruePikachu (talk) 00:08, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
So still other Pokémon like Umbreon and Sylveon said pointed teeth and Crystal rewites it from "fangs" to "pointed teeth". --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:09, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
I propose a compromise: Pointed, razor-sharp teeth. That way no loss of detail is incurred. --TruePikachu (talk) 00:13, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
So the anime Pokédex has Carvanha's entry saying razor-sharp teeth right? --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:14, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

I'm going to go ahead and step in here, since its my edits that are apparently causing some confusion. Anything confirmed trumps general terminology, and "razor sharp" is totally fine if the Dex says they are. "Fangs" is also technically okay, I don't like it quite as much because I feel it's a little borderline slang-y, but it's really fine. I changed some edits because we had the exact same wording across several pages and it was somewhat redundant. So long as the wording used accurately describe the whatever the feature in question is and isn't outright slang, it's totally fine. Crystal Talian 00:23, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

So Crystal, do you prefer pointed teeth, fangs, or anything else related to the Pokémon's teeth? --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:25, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
I really don't care so long as it isn't slang and isn't inaccurate. Whatever works. Crystal Talian 00:29, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
