Release information
This card was released in the English Boundaries Crossed expansion, first originating from the Japanese Freeze Bolt, with artwork by Masakazu Fukuda. It was later reprinted with different artwork by Akira Komayama in the English Legendary Treasures expansion, first originating from the Japanese EX Battle Boost.

Trivia
The Legendary Treasures print is one of numerous cards to feature an illustration that is part of a narrative, a concept unique to the expansion. In this illustration, Charmeleon singes a Swablu's wing with the flame on its tail. The scene continues on the Swablu card.
