The Fire type (Japanese: 炎 Fire) is one of the eleven TCG types. It is represented by the color red, and symbolized by a five-tipped flame.
The Fire type contains most Fire-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Charizard, Moltres, and Entei are all Fire types in the TCG.
The corresponding Basic Energy card is Fire Energy.

- Grass, if the corresponding Pokémon in the games is a Bug- or Grass-type
- Metal
These types are generally resistant to Fire Pokémon:
- Colorless, if the corresponding Pokémon in the games is a Dragon-type (only during the EX sets)

In the video games
Pokémon Trading Card Game series
In Pokémon Trading Card Game, there are 17 Fire-type Pokémon cards. In Pokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR!, there are 35 Fire-type Pokémon cards.
The Fire Energy card is available in both games. Additionally, in the second game only, the Rainbow Energy provides any kind of basic Energy (including Fire Energy).
